Maybe it’s my nostalgic heart, but I’m deeply moved by life captured through a lens. I think it's very much a part of the human experience to look for ways to remember, to look back, and to not let go.
Photography gives us the ability to hold on just a little longer. We can hold the photograph in our hands and with it, comes a sense of closeness to the people and places encapsulated in the image. I look through old photos and I can feel the emotion. The love of newlyweds, the pride of a recent grad, the nerves before a proposal, the joy of new parents.
I cherish the stories that are tied to photographs. The timeless tradition of pulling out photo albums during the holidays and hearing stories from loved ones about the moments hidden within the pictures. The stories are passed down through generations and with each year, the photos hold more meaning. Heirlooms to be cherished.

"When Mackenzie and I were planning the session, I expressed that I was a bit nervous because Tripp and I had never done a couples photoshoot before. I was worried we would feel odd trying to pose for pictures but Mackenzie made us feel so so comfortable and turned the session into such a fun date! She was able to give us fun prompts to make us feel more comfortable in front of the camera and not only did she capture such sweet moments, but we had a blast just being at the session! She sent the gallery a few days after the session, and I was brought to tears. Every picture was so beautifully captured and edited and I will cherish them forever!!
